Sage Advice from our 2019 Retirees

​Celebrating in her well-earned tiara, Susan Jones, teacher at Matheson Junior High, is retiring after 19 years with Granite School District.  Sue shares the best advice she received as an educator just entering the profession.
Mary Ann Travis, Hillsdale Elementary, cautions new educators to focus on self-care and family.  Mary Ann is retiring after 12 years with Granite School District.
Ben Breinholt, West Valley Elementary, is retiring after 13 years with the District.  Ben outlined the joy of seeing the light in students' eyes, especially those who return with success stories.
​Catherine Hudak has instructed Special Education teachers in their field.  She is retiring after 39 years with Granite School District.  Her advice is to organize your work - from the beginning of your career in teaching, to the end.
