Congratulations

Susan VanFrank teaches first grade at Cottonwood Elementary School. She remains in first grade because she believes it is the most pivotal learning year in a child’s life where they learn to read, write, take care of themselves, and grow into caring people. Throughout her 30-plus years in the classroom, her peers report that she has been extremely creative, caring, and innovative.

Dianne Krehbiel, who teaches music at Oakridge Elementary School, incorporates lessons from the core curriculum for all grade levels into her music instruction, giving strong support to teaching the whole child. Principal Rosanne Newell describes her contributions to the school as "magical." Her colleagues praise the support they receive and call her "extraordinary."
